Eurorack Modular
The popular Eurorack specification allows for personalized sound synthesizing machines that provide endless versatility and possibilities. Many synthesizers are as unique as their designers and builders.
As the needed hardware can be quite expensive, Die Rechenwerke introduces the RW EM line of Eurorack compatible modules. All designs are published under the CERN-OHL-S v2 license and are free to replicate under the terms of the license. Most modules are easy to build yourself due to the extensive use of through-hole components. Not only are schematics and pcb layouts provided, but also vector graphics for ordering panels in various materials.
All modules may be found under the following GitHub repository RW EM REPO.
Here is a list of all modules release so far.
VCOs
RW EM VCO A
The RW EM VCO A module.
This VCO design is almost a copy of the EDU DIY VCO module by Erica Synths and Moritz Klein. For more information visit the Erica Synths website.
RW EM VCO B
The second VCO I built and the first I designed myself. It is built around the IC. The design is very slim, which is achieved by using two PCBs, one for interfacing and one for sound generation. This makes the module deeper than most, but saves horizontal space in a rack.
VCAs
RW EM VCAx2
The RW EM VCAx2 A module.
This VCA design is almost a copy of the EDU DIY VCA module by Erica Synths and Moritz Klein. For more information visit the Erica Synths website.
RW EM VCAx4
This module houses the XX IC to enable for 4 seperate amplification channels. Two PCBs are used to create a slim yet deep form factor.
